Ideas into Action is managed by Amanda Cook and is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Amanda works independently or with a team of associates depending on project need. Ideas into Action is based on a founding principle of excellence of service delivery and real passion for making the business case for diversity come alive.
Amanda is an IT and Computing graduate with many years experience working in the field of equality and diversity in both commercial and public sector environments. Amanda is also currently completing a Masters in Empployment and Equality legislation at De Montfort University
Key skills include:
- A keen knowledge and appreciation of the business case for equality and diversity in the workplace.
- A confident understanding of employment and equality legislation and the ability to convey this in an accessible manner.
- A strategic understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR), based on the cornerstones of workplace, marketplace, environment and community. An understanding of the positive impact CSR can have on both organisations, their staff and communities.
- An ability to engage and facilitate sharing of knowledge good practice.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven record of successful project delivery.
- An ability to integrate the business, social and legal case for diversity and equality in a coherent and accessible way.
